Uganda’s vibrant tourism sector is in the spotlight at the Belgium Travel Expo (BTExpo) 2025, held from 17–18 November in Nivelles and Ghent. Led by the Uganda Embassy in Brussels in partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the delegation is showcasing Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage to inspire Belgian and wider European travellers to discover the Pearl of Africa.
Now in its 21st edition, BTExpo is a premier professional travel fair that brings together more than 1,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors from across the global tourism sector. Uganda’s participation this year marks a significant advancement in efforts to strengthen visibility and market presence within the BENELUX region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg).
The Uganda booth attracted strong interest from tour operators, travel agents, and industry partners eager to learn more about the country’s iconic gorilla trekking adventures, pristine national parks, birding opportunities, and authentic cultural festivals. The team also highlighted Uganda’s expanding eco-tourism and sustainable travel offerings, aligning with the growing global demand for responsible and community-centered tourism.
Uganda’s presence at BTExpo 2025 reinforces the country’s commitment to promoting its unique attractions, preserving its heritage, and advancing sustainable tourism that benefits local communities. Through strategic engagement and strong collaboration with European partners, Uganda continues to position itself as a must-visit destination for travellers seeking adventure, culture, and nature in its purest form.
