Kampala, November 16, 2025 — The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) have today officially welcomed a high-level delegation from the Trans Africa Tourism & Unity Campaign for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening continental collaboration in tourism, culture, and shared heritage.

The delegation will Explore Uganda from November 16th to 19th, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Uganda’s continued commitment to advancing Africa-wide unity and promoting cross-border tourism partnerships.

Driving Africa’s Tourism Integration

The Trans Africa Tourism & Unity Campaign is a landmark initiative dedicated to fostering unity, development, and sustainable collaboration across the continent. Through strategic engagements in tourism and the cultural sectors, the campaign champions a shared African identity and promotes inter-country cooperation.

The visiting delegation includes:

  1. Mr. Bismarck Nortei Annoo – Consular
  2. Ms. Susan Odella – Operations
  3. Mr. Eric Agyei – Chairperson, Ghana Community

Their mission in Uganda focuses on high-level engagements, cultural immersion, and identifying opportunities for strengthening regional linkages.

UTB’s Strategic Partnership

The Uganda Tourism Board is offering full strategic support to ensure the delegation’s visit aligns with Uganda’s national tourism priorities. UTB is also facilitating stakeholder engagements that will help position Uganda as a key player in the Trans Africa Tourism & Unity Campaign’s continental agenda.

Key Itinerary Highlights

Over the four days, the delegation will enjoy a rich and diverse program curated to showcase Uganda’s cultural heritage, history, and natural beauty.

November 16, 2025 – Cultural Experience at Ndere Center

UTB has facilitated a cultural immersion experience for 30 guests at the Ndere Cultural Centre, offering a vibrant introduction to Uganda’s traditions, music, and dance.

November 17, 2025 – Press Conference Hosted by MTWA

MTWA will host an official press conference, setting the stage for deeper engagements and outlining the purpose and expected outcomes of the visit.

November 18, 2025 – Meeting with the Minister of Tourism

The delegation will hold a high-level discussion with the Minister of Tourism and Technical Officials to explore collaborative opportunities in tourism development across Africa.

Afternoon Cultural & Heritage Tour:
The delegation will tour Kampala’s iconic landmarks, including:

  • Kasubi Tombs (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Gaddafi National Mosque
  • Namugongo Martyrs Shrines

November 19, 2025 – Wildlife & Natural Attractions

The final day will feature a visit to:

  • Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) for game viewing
  • Entebbe Botanical Gardens for a guided nature experience

The visit will conclude with a stopover at the legendary Source of the Nile in Jinja, as the delegation exits the country via Busia.

This visit highlights Uganda’s growing role in shaping Africa’s unified tourism future and reinforces the country’s position as a leading cultural and adventure destination on the continent.
