About Uganda Tourism Board

  • Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), is a statutory organization established by Uganda Tourism Board Statute of 1994 and reconstituted in the Tourism Act 2008 with the following Statutory Objectives:

    1. To promote and contribute to the development of tourism sector both within and outside of Uganda.
    2. To coordinate with the Ministry responsible for tourism; and the private sector in the implementation of the National Tourism P
    3. To carry out any other activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the two objectives specified above.

Main purpose of the job

  • Review and assess the UTB’s activities in relation to its objectives and assess the quality of internal controls including the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of the financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum qualifications and certifications

  • Should possess a Diploma in catering and hospitality management from a recognised institution

Key Result Area:

Activities/Processes for each Key Result Area (KRA)

 
 

KRA 1: 

Office maintenance

Cleans and maintains office, equipment and supplies, and strictly observes hygiene.

 

 

provide security protection to buildings and persons at UTB offices, oobserve security of persons and equipment

 

Looks after, control, regulate and keeping records of entry and exit of all visitors and staff.

 

 

KRA 2:

Staff welfare

Prepares tea and serves in time, keepings the office clean and maintains hygiene.

 

 

Observes time management, acts fast, and take instructions.

 

 

Looks after, control, regulate and keeping records of entry and exit of all visitors and staff.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Office, equipment and supplies cleaned and maintained
  • Tea prepared and served on time.
  • Time management observed and instructions taken.
  • Messages to relevant offices delivered.
  • Files and documents as instructed
  • Security of persons and equipment observed
